What’s New?

Comprehensive Image Editing Tools

Winter ’25 brings a suite of powerful image editing tools directly within Media Manager, allowing you to crop, compress, rotate, zoom, and undo/redo changes—all without the need for external software. These features ensure that any necessary adjustments can be made directly within the platform, enhancing efficiency.

Key Features of Image Editing Tools

  • Crop and Rotate: Make quick changes to your images without relying on third-party software.
  • Undo/Redo: Easily undo or redo edits to ensure you get the perfect result without any hassle.
  • Reset: Restore images to their original view after any edits. After editing an image, an “Original” button appears. Clicking this will display the original image for preview purposes only, with a close icon for easy exit. Once “Reset” is clicked, the original image preview and text will disappear.
  • Zoom In & Zoom Out: Zoom in and out of images using mouse pads or touchpads for a detailed view. A reset option is also available for restoring images to their original size. These editing features ensure that adjustments can be made directly within the platform, streamlining the entire process.
  • Compression Options: Compress images to reduce file size while maintaining visual quality.

Use Case: Imagine a team collaborating on a proposal that needs multiple rounds of edits. With version history, each team member can easily see what changes were made, when, and by whom—ensuring everyone stays aligned and preventing the risk of working on outdated content.

NOTE: When uploading a new version, ensure the file matches the allowed file types specified in the Configuration’s upload settings. Unsupported file types will not be accepted.

  • Save as New File: Keep the original file intact and save the edited version separately.

Drag-and-Drop File Uploads Across Views

Tired of spending time navigating through multiple menus just to upload files? With Winter ’25, the new drag-and-drop feature makes file uploads easy. You can drag files directly into Media Manager across all views—Slider, List, and Tile.

Feature Highlight: The drag-and-drop feature is object responsive, meaning that files dropped from a parent or child object are uploaded accordingly. This ensures proper alignment with the file tree, making the entire process smooth and efficient. Just drag, drop, and go.

NOTE: If the upload is for Object Specific files, then it requires “Enable Folder View” checkbox to be enabled in the Configuration.

Winter’25 Enhancements

  • View Files: Open and preview HEIC files directly in Slider View without the need for conversions.
  • Save as JPG: Convert HEIC files to JPG format for improved compatibility and performance. Save the file as a new version or create a new file based on your preference.

Issues resolved in the Winter’25 release

The following issues reported in previous releases have been addressed in the Winter ’25 update:

    1. File Tree Tab Issue: Editing child object details and switching back to the primary object may result in hidden details without a confirmation message. This has now been resolved.
    2. Drag and Drop Upload Issue (New Enhancement): Files dragged and dropped within the Media Manager component no longer open in a new tab; the upload now functions as expected.
    3. Visibility Issue with Show Files Checkbox: Disabling the “Show Files” checkbox no longer results in empty columns or filters within the file tree section.
    4. Search Behavior in Slider View: Searching for incorrect file names in the slider view now maintains consistent dropdown behavior, with the search text retained.
    5. Persistence of Child Object: Deleting the primary object from the file tree detail screen now correctly removes its associated child object.
