In this year’s Annual Report, we are proud to share Softsquare’s progress towards our Net Zero commitment and DEI. Through various initiatives, we have increased energy efficiency and fostered a culture of Diversity and Inclusion within our organization. Our journey toward sustainability and inclusion is ongoing, and we are committed to achieve even greater milestones in the coming years.
Our Sustainability Commitment
At Softsquare, sustainability is a core value. We are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact thereby contributing to a sustainable future. We are committed to achieve Net zero carbon emissions by 2030. This commitment guides our efforts to implement energy-efficient practices, support renewable energy, and promote sustainable practices among our employees.
We recognize the importance of sustainable practices and are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact through the following initiatives:
- Energy Efficiency: Implementing energy-saving measures across all our offices.
- Renewable Energy: Transitioning to renewable energy sources wherever possible.
- Sustainable Commuting: Encouraging our employees to commute by bicycle, carpool, public transport, or walk. We will provide support to make these options more accessible and appealing.
- Remote Work: Expanding remote work opportunities to reduce the need for commuting.
- Waste Reduction: Promoting recycling and reducing waste in our daily operations.
- Carbon Offsets: Investing in projects that offset our remaining emissions to ensure we meet our net zero target.
- Partnerships: Collaborating with local governments, NGOs, and other businesses to support larger sustainability projects.
- Communication: Regularly communicating our commitment and progress to all stakeholders, including employees, customers, and partners.
Sustainable Commuting and Work-from-Home
To reduce our commuting-related carbon emissions, Softsquare has implemented several initiatives to promote sustainable commuting options. We encourage team members to carpool and use public transport. Our building infrastructure also allows for secure bike parking. This year, 20% of our employees commuted by bicycle, 20% by carpool, and 60% by public transport. These efforts have resulted in a 15-20 % reduction in our commuting-related emissions compared to last year.
