Adding Row and Column Border

Customize your AGrid experience with ease! Admins can now tweak row and column widths for a tailored look and feel. Resetting to defaults is just a click away under the Grid Settings tab.

      • This feature not only enhances user experience but also adds a layer of customization, allowing users to effortlessly adjust the layout to their preferences.

Auto Refresh

Introducing the Auto Refresh feature, a user-friendly addition designed to simplify your workflow. With Auto Refresh for List view in salesforce Lighting, you don’t have to worry about manually updating the page anymore. It does it for you automatically, so you can focus on your work without any interruptions.

    • No more waiting around or clicking refresh – just sit back and let Auto Refresh keep you up to date with the latest changes.
    • This feature enhances your user experience by ensuring you’re always working with the most up-to-date information, without any interruptions. Say goodbye to the hassle of refreshing pages and hello to a smoother, more efficient workflow.

New and Improvised Preference Option

In the Spring’24 release, we’ve placed a significant focus on refining the Preferences settings to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience for our users. These preferences are vital as they allow users to tailor their List views to their specific workflow requirements.

      • We’ve revamped the Preferences settings for a seamless and intuitive experience. Easily select features such as Rule Sets, Sorting, Filters, Group By options, and Manage Columns within the Preferences settings.

New Buttons added

Additionally, we’ve introduced new functionalities within the Preferences settings, such as Reset, Back, and Save options.

NOTE: You cannot edit the default preference set, you will have to create your own preference before viewing these options.

    • Moreover, we’ve paid close attention to improving the user interface of the Preferences settings. Clear labels, organized options, and enhanced button functionalities have been implemented to streamline the preferences management process.

NOTE: Admins can stil enable end users to manage and create their preferences more efficiently by checking the “Enable End-User Preferences” checkbox.

Manage Columns

Empower your AGrid Admins with the ability to manage column selection for end users. With the “Manage Columns” checkbox, users can now easily add or remove columns to tailor their List views according to their needs.

    • Administrators also have the ability to manage columns on the Configuration side, providing further flexibility and control. Whether it’s Managed Preferences or an End User Preference, administrators can select columns that align with the requirements of end users.
    • Overall, the Manage Columns feature not only enhances user experience but also adds a layer of customization to the AGrid platform. By allowing administrators to tailor List views to the unique needs of their organization, this feature ensures that users can work more efficiently and effectively with their data.

Spring’24 Enhancements

That’s not all for our Spring’24 release! In addition to these exciting new features, we’ve also made enhancements to existing ones, ensuring a more robust and user-friendly AGrid experience.

1. Wrapping Text in Columns

    • Tired with content being cut off, requiring scrolling just to read a complete note or sentence in a column? Say no more! With the Spring’24 release, AGrid now allows you to wrap text within columns. No more clipped text – choose between Clip Text and Wrap Text options for each column, making data viewing a breeze.
    • End users can now enjoy improved data readability on the AGrid list view, with Wrap Text limited to 3 rows of data by default.
    • By default, it will set to “Clip Text”.

2. Rich Text Area as a Column Type

    • We’re all about delivering top-notch customer experiences, and this feature takes it up a notch! Elevate your data presentation with the new Rich Text Area column type. Add images, text, and style to your columns, giving your data a personalized touch.
    • Notably, this enhancement opens the possibility of including bullet lists in your data, providing even more flexibility and clarity.

3. Column Width and Resizing:

    • Your feedback matters, and we’ve heard you loud and clear. In the Spring’24 release, we’ve revamped how column widths are managed. Whether it’s automatic resizing based on the number of columns added or retaining manual adjustments by end users, we’ve got you covered!
    • Now, if the column width is rearranged manually by end users, it will retain their positions the way it was set by the users, ensuring a consistent and personalized experience

4. Navigating to Reference Field values

    • Hold onto your hats – we’re introducing an intriguing feature that lets Admins decide how reference links or lookup fields are displayed. Choose link behavior options for smoother navigation of your data.
    • Admins can set how the link navigates based on the “Navigate To” field, with options including Same tab, Different tab, or New Model window, providing ultimate control and flexibility.

5. Enhancing Preference Labels:

    • The “Show Field Label Only” has been changed to “Show AGrid Columns Only” checkbox. With this enabled, end users can only add or remove columns added to AGrid List view.

Conclusion
