COMPANY BACKGROUND

Delivery.com is an online platform and suite of mobile apps that enables users to order from local restaurants and stores for on-demand delivery. The company currently has more than one million users and an online marketplace of more than 12,000 restaurants, wine and liquor stores, grocery stores, and laundry/dry cleaning providers. Headquartered in New York City, delivery.com offers service in cities across the United States including Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington DC.

BUSINESS CHALLENGES

Users can place orders at delivery.com online or download the mobile app. delivery.com did not have an online solution for the merchants to sign up online and generate a contract. Hence, every time a new merchant wanted to sign up with delivery.com, they had to make a phone call or send email to the Internal Staff to complete the contract.

SOLUTION

Softsquare collaborated with Delivery.com to develop an online solution for signing up the contract for the merchants. The merchants can sign up online at the Delivery.com site where they log their details including their basic information and the Items they sell on a single page. Our implementation also enables them to sign the contract online by providing a eSign feature using Sertifi eSign API.

RESULTS

As a result of these efforts with Softsquare, Delivery.com currently offers online sign up of contracts for new merchants. As a result of this single-step signup process, Delivery.com has achieved:

  • Quick turn-around of merchant signup
  • Increased operational efficiency by capturing and validating the merchant details online
